UET Lahore ECAT 2026 Registration – Complete Details
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has officially announced the schedule for the Combined Entrance Test (ECAT 2026) for admissions in BSc. Engineering and related programs across multiple public sector engineering universities in Punjab. This is the first entry test for the year 2026 and will be mandatory for candidates seeking admission in engineering programs.
As per PEC regulations, all candidates must appear in the ECAT test and secure at least the minimum passing score. The negative marking system will also be applicable for ECAT 2026.

UET has scheduled orientation sessions for candidates to familiarize themselves with the computer-based testing system. These sessions will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 across multiple centers in Punjab.

ECAT 2026 Test Date
The ECAT 2026 Entry Test will be held from Monday, March 30, 2026 to April 03, 2026. Candidates must appear in the test at their allocated center and time.
Who Can Apply For ECAT 2026?
Any student who wishes to apply for admission in engineering universities of Punjab can apply for ECAT test. Both Pre-Engineering and ICS students are eligible.
ECAT 2026 Test Pattern
The pattern will be at intermediate level. The test will include:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry / Computer Science
- English
Total duration of the test will be 100 minutes and the test will be based on MCQs with negative marking policy.
ECAT 2026 Registration Fee
Candidates must generate a Rs. 3000/- challan through the official ECAT portal and submit it in designated banks or via online banking before the deadline.
ECAT 2026 Admit Cards
Admit cards will be available from Monday, March 16, 2026 (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM).
ECAT 2026 Deadline
The last date for submitting online applications is Tuesday, March 24, 2026. After that, no application will be entertained.
